Job Title: Private Client Tax Senior

Location: City of London - 3 days from office, 2 days from home
Salary: £42,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + benefits package!

The Firm:

My client are a £30m+ turnover business with 21 partners and 240+ staff supporting an enviable roster of A-list corporate and private clients worldwide.
From premium restaurants, prime property and international groups to well-known names in music, entertainment and sport, their clients are inspiringly diverse and exciting to work for. Their varied interests mean their teams often work together for different clients across the business. This gives their people the freedom to work both individually and as one multi-specialist client team so they're always learning, from intern right through to partner.

The Role:

  • Taking responsibility for the management of a portfolio of clients seeking to provide proactive and innovative solutions with assistance of more senior staff and Partners where relevant.
  • Building strong and successful relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring work and projects are completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of work.
  • Highlighting any issues and assisting on client problems.
  • Working successfully with more senior staff and Partners across the firm to ensure that all deadlines and client expectations are met, highlighting any delivery issues and suggesting approaches to rectify.
  • Regularly updating the Partners to discuss client issues or concerns and managing their input as appropriate.
  • Developing an appreciation of the bigger picture of the client's affairs, including the ability to show initiative and find solutions to problems.
  • Managing WIP, billing, and recoverability for the portfolio.
  • Performing general administration as per the requirements of the portfolio.
  • Maintaining, developing, and enhancing a high level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses.

The Individual:

  • Exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Good IT skills along with the ability to use bespoke software effectively.
  • Actively offers assistance to other colleagues and takes ownership for own tasks.
  • Confident, ambitious, and keen to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering work to agreed timescales.
  • Working towards ATT/CTA qualification or substantial relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years experience working within Private Tax.
