Private Client Tax Senior Manager (Trusts) | Leeds | Hybrid

I'm working on an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Tax Senior Manager with strong Trust experience to join a well-established and growing private client tax team in Leeds — and the career story here is one of the strongest I've come across for this kind of role.

This is a business that has invested heavily in technology and automation specifically so its senior people spend their time on clients and relationships rather than admin, and there's a genuinely proven track record of people progressing all the way to Director without ever having to move into pure advisory work. If you're a compliance-focused Trust Tax specialist who wants recognition and progression without being pushed down the advisory route, this is well worth a conversation.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of around 200 trust and private client relationships, leading on the preparation and review of Trust and Estate Tax Returns, Trust Accounts, Inheritance Tax compliance, Capital Gains Tax reporting, Trust Registration Service obligations, and AEOI/FATCA reporting.
  • Alongside the core compliance work, there's genuine scope for ad hoc advisory input as it arises from your own client base.
  • You'll attend trustee and client meetings as the senior point of contact.
  • You'll play a real role in developing the team around you — mentoring and training graduates, with potential line management responsibility as you settle in.
  • You'll also be encouraged to build referral relationships and get involved in business development as the team continues to grow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
