Main purpose of job
To deliver profitable growth for the Private Clients team by:
- Generating new business through your own new business activity and maximising referral opportunities from other divisions within Verlingue, from existing clients and by developing a strong professional KBI network
- Managing and growing your personal client portfolio through cross-selling within the existing client base

Department Overview
Verlingue's Private Clients team is a well-established and growing division based in Redhill, comprising 14 experienced professionals specialising in Private Client insurance, with a particular focus on household and motor risks.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team with ambitious growth plans and play a key role in delivering our strategic objective of becoming a HNW specialist. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the continued success of the division while developing their own career within a supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking business.

Key Accountabilities
General responsibilities
- Achieve individual new business, retention and income targets in line with team objectives.
- Proactively identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the High Net Worth (HNW) Private Clients sector.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of affluent and HNW clients, providing exceptional levels of service and advice, becoming a trusted adviser for their personal insurance needs.
- Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms and bespoke insurance solutions for high-value and complex risks.
- Support and mentor team members by providing technical insurance knowledge, market insight and best practice guidance across the Private Clients portfolio.
- Act as a role model within the team, demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism, client service and technical expertise.
- Ensure all communications, documents, invoices are issued in a compliant way in line with company Policies & Procedures and full utilisation of Acturis.

New Business
- Achieve and exceed individual and team income targets in line with divisional objectives.
- Drive own new business production by building, monitoring and maintaining a sustainable pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, KBIs and personal business development activity.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the wider Verlingue Group to identify, generate and convert internal referral opportunities, supporting both client outcomes and business growth.
- Build relationships with professional introducers to create a sustainable source of new business opportunities.
- Represent Verlingue at networking events, industry functions and client meetings, raising the profile of the Private Clients proposition.
- Support the growth of the team by coaching and mentoring colleagues on business development activity, relationship management and new business conversion.
Renewal Business
- Demonstrate role model behaviour through managing and growing a portfolio of Private Clients, developing exceptional levels of service and advice, becoming a trusted adviser for their personal insurance needs.
- Conduct comprehensive client reviews to understand evolving insurance requirements and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Ensure high levels of client retention through proactive account management and regular engagement.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through cross-selling, upselling and the introduction of additional services.
- Work collaboratively with the team and insurer partners to deliver an efficient, seamless and high-quality renewal experience.

Person Specification
Essential
- Cert CII
- Extensive experience within the High Net Worth Private Clients sector in a Client Executive role responsible for new business and client management.
- Self-motivated, driven and results-oriented, with a proven ability to achieve and exceed business objectives.
- Highly regarded within the insurance market, with established and credible relationships across insurer partners.
- Demonstrable success in developing, nurturing and converting KBI relationships to generate sustainable business growth.
- Proven track record of managing and growing High Net Worth client portfolios, delivering exceptional client outcomes and retention.
- Strong technical knowledge of High Net Worth insurance products and solutions, with the ability to support colleagues on complex client requirements.
- Acts as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the Verlingue Values and Behaviours and contributing to a high-performance team culture.
- Builds strong collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders, supporting both individual and collective success.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and accountability in all client, insurer and colleague interactions.
