A leading global asset manager is seeking a Private Credit Associate to join its Private Markets investment team, focusing on investments across private credit funds in North America, Europe and Asia.

Working alongside an experienced team of investment professionals, you'll play an active role throughout the investment lifecycle, from evaluating new opportunities and conducting due diligence to presenting investment recommendations and supporting portfolio management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to leading private credit fund managers, global investment strategies and institutional investing within a highly regarded alternatives platform.

Responsibilities

  • Assess private credit fund investment opportunities across both primary and secondary markets, evaluating investment strategy, portfolio construction, manager quality and risk-adjusted return potential
  • Conduct detailed financial and qualitative due diligence, producing investment analysis and supporting the preparation of Investment Committee papers
  • Identify new investment opportunities through market research, sector analysis and relationship management with General Partners and other market participants
  • Develop robust investment cases, presenting findings and recommendations to senior members of the investment team
  • Monitor an existing portfolio of private credit fund investments through ongoing performance analysis, manager engagement and portfolio reviews
  • Attend Annual General Meetings, LP Advisory Committees and investor meetings, helping maintain strong relationships with external fund managers
  • Prepare portfolio reporting, investment updates and responses to client and internal information requests
  • Maintain investment pipeline, portfolio and performance databases, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the investment team

About You

You'll already have experience within private markets or institutional investing and be looking to further develop your expertise within private credit.

You'll bring:

  • Experience analysing private credit, private markets or alternative investment opportunities within an investment management, pension, consultant or fund investment environment
  • A strong understanding of corporate finance, financial analysis and private market fund structures
  • Advanced financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate analysis into clear, well-structured investment recommendations
  • Sound commercial judgement and a disciplined approach to evaluating investment risk and return
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
  • A genuine interest in private markets and the factors that influence businesses, industries and investment performance across global markets

Progress towards the CFA qualification, together with experience in fund due diligence, manager selection or secondary private market transactions, would be advantageous but is not essential.
