Practice Description

Lovely single surgery practice providing private-only dental care for a large number of patients. Minutes from the beach. Experience nursing and reception staff.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Private Dentist role based in Clacton-On-Sea. The Private Dentist will provide high-quality clinical care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of a full range of private dental services such as restorative work, cosmetic procedures, and preventive care.

Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with GDC and CQC standards, and following infection prevention and control protocols. The role involves building strong patient relationships, explaining treatment options clearly, obtaining informed consent, and promoting ongoing oral health. The Private Dentist will collaborate with the wider dental team, contribute to practice growth, and participate in continuous professional development.

  • Current GDC registration as a Dentist and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Recognized dental degree (e.g., BDS or equivalent) and completion of relevant vocational training or foundation training.
  • Demonstrated experience in private practice, including restorative, cosmetic, and preventive dentistry.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based dental care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to high standards of infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance (GDC, CQC, NHS where applicable).
  • Ability to manage time effectively, maintain accurate records, and work efficiently in a busy practice environment.
  • Ongoing engagement in CPD activities and willingness to adopt new techniques and technologies.
  • Professional, empathetic approach with a focus on patient-centered care and ethical practice.
  • Experience with dental practice management software and digital radiography is an advantage.
  • AT LEAST 10 YEARS OF DENTAL EXPERIENCE IN THE UK IS MANDATORY TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION
