Private Equity Analyst
In this role, you will support the origination and execution of private equity transactions with a focus on financial services in emerging and frontier markets. Based in London, you will work closely with local investment teams around the globe.
Key tasks
- Conduct market research, screen potential targets and analyse potential investments, including financial analysis, structuring and valuation;
- Develop a thorough understanding of our markets and generate deal ideas in collaboration with the private equity team;
- Assist the senior team members in due diligence with financial analysis and financial modelling on transactions;
- Support the preparation of investment memos for the Investment Committee;
- Monitor transactions post investment, valuation, and asset management activities.
- Support the senior team in monthly and quarterly valuation reports to the valuation committee, quarterly report to the investors and weekly report to the Global Private Equity forum. Prepare additional ad-hoc reports for Annual General Meetings, investors presentation and support senior leadership in RFP and fundraising form preparation and reporting. Analytical skills and aptitude to produce reports is a mandatory requirement as the reporting component of this role represents a relevant part of the analyst scope.

Required skills and experience
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience with a leading firm in Private Equity or Corporate Finance firm, experience in Climate-focused Private Equity is an advantage;
- Strong analytical and technical skills (including financial modelling);
- Strong report-writing and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear, compelling recurring PowerPoint and word presentations for senior stakeholders. Previous experience in financial services and emerging markets;
- Graduate from a leading university;
- Fluency in Spanish would be an advantage.
