The Private Equity practice area sits within the corporate and finance practice group and covers the full range of Private Equity, Secondaries and Corporate/M&A work. The team has broad experience of corporate and secondary transactions, with particular focus on private M&A, joint ventures, co-investments, LP transactions, GP-led transactions, GP stakes and leveraged buy-outs. We act for both private equity houses, secondary funds, institutional investors and corporates across a range of sectors.
Working Hours
35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office, please contact a member of the recruitment team to discuss further.

The paralegal's main duty is to support the Private Equity team on a wide range of transactions, including private M&A and secondaries. Duties will include:
- Supporting the production of documentation based on precedent forms
- Assisting with signings and undertaking post-completion tasks
- Assisting with the drafting of condition precedent documents
- Researching information using paper and computerised resources
- General administration, including proof reading, filing and photocopying
- Assisting with queries from fee earners
- Develop effective working relationships with members of the department and other support and legal departments
- Additional ad hoc duties as and when required
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of Private Equity and/or Secondary transactions
- Law degree, or equivalent
- High level of IT literacy
- MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint experience
- Excellent research skills
- The ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff is required. This applies to all forms of communication: telephone; written; and face-to-face.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
- Strong presentation skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure to deadlines
- Proactive and shows initiative
- Flexible and willing to take on new and challenging tasks
