I’m looking for a strong accountant to become the first dedicated finance hire in a small private office in Surrey.

This is a broad role with real visibility.

  • Day to day financial oversight of a private office and a small group of owner managed businesses, reporting directly to the Principal, who retains final oversight.
  • Visibility across the full financial picture, including:
    • Monthly management accounts, P&Ls, and balance sheet reporting
    • Cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
    • Cash management across business and personal accounts
    • Reconciliations, payment runs, and financial controls
    • Tax liabilities and cash reserves
    • Personal balance sheet and net worth reporting
    • Business performance, costs, and profitability
    • Property, investments, financing, and major purchases
    • GBP, EUR, and USD cash positions
    • Coordination with accountants, banks, lawyers, and advisers
    • An interest in how AI can support better systems, reporting, and decision-making

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
