PRIVATE HOUSEHOLD MANAGER | LIVE-IN ESTATE | 24/7

Private Estate, approximately 2 hours from London
£80,000–£120,000+ DOE
High-spec live-in accommodation provided on the estate

We are seeking an exceptional Private Household Manager to take full operational responsibility for the seamless running of a prestigious private estate.

Five-star hospitality training and experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have been developed within a genuine five-star luxury environment or a highly sophisticated private household, bringing an instinctive understanding of impeccable service, presentation, discretion, and highly personalised guest care.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring complete oversight of the estate and all day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will ensure the property is maintained to the highest possible standards whilst anticipating the needs of the Principal and guests with absolute discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full operational management of the estate and its presentation
  • Leadership, recruitment, training, and development of all household staff
  • Oversight of housekeeping, front-of-house service, maintenance, and security
  • Management of contractors, suppliers, and specialist artisans
  • Procurement, inventories, purchasing, and budget control
  • Planning and delivery of guest stays, private entertaining, and events
  • Preventative maintenance schedules and estate improvement projects
  • Close liaison with the Principal, Family Office, and external advisers
  • Writing, implementing, and continually updating the Estate House Manual, ensuring all operational procedures, service standards, maintenance schedules, emergency protocols, and household systems are fully documented and consistently followed
  • Taking complete ownership of the estate's operational systems and being fully au fait with every aspect of its day-to-day running, ensuring continuity, efficiency, and exceptional standards at all times
