IPS services span multiple client segments including Corporate Pension Funds, Public Funds, Foundations and Endowments, Wealth Management, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and Investment Management.

Your Role
Northern Trust's Front Office Solutions (FOS) platform provides a comprehensive, full-service, multi-asset platform designed to empower institutional investors and in-house investment teams.
The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of the platform's broader capabilities across both public and private markets, with focused expertise in private markets analytics and reporting.
The role requires a deep appreciation of how investment, operational, and data processes converge to deliver meaningful portfolio insights.
This includes understanding Northern Trust's private market and custody administration services, including capital call processing, distribution management, and underlying investment data capture, as well as how this information is transformed into actionable analytics and reporting.
In addition to FOS, Northern Trust leverages third-party analytical solutions for certain clients to enhance private markets performance measurement, benchmarking, and investment reporting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
