Our client is the dedicated alternative investments arm of a fund management business. The business invests across private equity, real estate, private debt, infrastructure and hedge funds, offering both commingled funds and tailored solutions to institutional and private wealth clients.
With a significant pipeline of fund launches scheduled for 2027, the firm is strengthening its Product & Business Development team and is looking to hire a Senior Associate or Vice President on an initial contract of 12 months. The team owns the product lifecycle for the platform's alternative strategies, from initial concept and structuring through to launch and ongoing maintenance.
The role
This is a broad, high-visibility position sitting at the centre of the business. You will work alongside investment teams, distribution, marketing, finance, legal, compliance and operations, with regular exposure to senior leadership and executive stakeholders, and take ownership of designing and delivering new alternative investment products aligned with the firm's strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading cross-functional initiatives to develop and launch new alternative investment products and strategies across hedge funds and private assets
- Managing the full product launch lifecycle: design, development, pricing, target market identification, go-to-market preparation, post-launch operational planning and infrastructure build-out
- Building product business cases with investment, IR and business leaders, using data-driven analysis to shape objectives and terms
- Partnering with Finance on profitability and break-even analysis for new products
- Working with investment teams, legal and tax advisers on the structuring of private and registered vehicles, primarily closed-end
- Supporting the Product Committee in managing the product pipeline and communicating new product activity across the business
- Monitoring the competitive landscape, market trends and regulatory developments to identify gaps and opportunities, and regularly reviewing existing product platforms for improvement
- Acting as a primary point of contact for internal partners on product and fund lifecycle questions, and researching and socialising product trends and innovations

The role requires:
- Proven experience working on alternative or private assets funds, across both closed-end and evergreen structures
- Practical experience in product strategy and product development within asset management or alternatives
- Highly numerate, with strong analytical and project management skills and close attention to detail
- A clear communicator, written and verbal, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of seniority, internally and externally
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with a genuine interest in applying new technologies such as AI
- Available to commit to a 12-month contract; candidates able to start at relatively short notice will be of particular interest
