Make an impact at The London Clinic!
We're looking for an experienced PMI Relationship Manager to lead the commercial and operational management of our private medical insurer portfolio and build strong relationships with our PMI partners.
You will need to have experience within the PMI sector or from a private healthcare provider working specifically with PMI providers. What's also essential is a strong understanding of how PMI works behind the scenes, including contracts, tariffs, pricing, reimbursement and negotiation, alongside strong commercial and relationship management skills.
Using data, insight and commercial judgement, you'll manage negotiations, resolve complex issues, identify opportunities and work closely with clinical, finance and operational teams to improve performance and develop our services with insurer partners.
If you're commercially savvy, confident managing relationships and enjoy using data to find opportunities and solutions, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact at The London Clinic.
What you'll be doing
PMI Contract & Commercial Management
- Manage major PMI agreements, renewals, variations, networks and fixed-price packages.
- Lead negotiations on tariffs, reimbursement, coding, pricing, funding models and annual uplifts, protecting The London Clinic's commercial position.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of insurer contracts, business rules, tariffs and coding requirements, challenging uncommercial or out-of-contract requests where appropriate.
- Anticipate insurer and market changes and support the introduction of new services, procedures and pathways.
Insurer Relationship, Governance & Performance
- Act as the principal contact for PMI partners, building strong relationships and resolving commercial, operational and contractual issues.
- Coordinate insurer KPIs, performance reviews, pathway reporting, audits and contractual obligations, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Investigate variances, complaints and audit requests, coordinating evidence-based responses and corrective action.
- Coordinate insurer meetings, visits, pathway discussions and senior communications.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for
- Experience in a similar commercial/PMI role.
