Job Description: Private PA / House Manager

We are seeking an exceptional Private PA / House Manager for a known to us private client with a beautiful property in St John’s Wood and an estate in the Cotswolds.

This is a senior, high-trust role supporting a busy international principal who travels frequently and works across different time zones. The role is primarily to support the principal personally, while also overseeing the smooth running of her St John’s Wood property, which is used as a private residence, art studio and London base.

The client is looking for someone sharp, practical, highly organised and genuinely solution-focused. This is not a traditional desk-based PA role, nor is it suited to someone who needs constant instruction. The successful candidate must be able to think ahead, take ownership, deal with issues directly and step in practically when required.

There is already a capable housekeeper in place, so this is not a role requiring someone to be permanently based at the house. However, the PA / House Manager must be available to attend when needed for contractors, deliveries, maintenance, emergencies, property checks and general household coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Private PA Support

  • Acting as a trusted right hand to the principal
  • Supporting with private administration, scheduling, research and organisation
  • Managing personal tasks, documents, arrangements and follow-ups
  • Assisting around the principal’s travel schedule and time-zone requirements
  • Liaising with relevant contacts, suppliers and external professionals
  • Anticipating what needs to be done and taking action without waiting to be chased

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Property and Household Management

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the St John’s Wood property
  • Attending the property when required
  • Dealing directly with contractors, maintenance companies, suppliers and deliveries
  • Coordinating repairs, access, follow-ups and practical household matters
  • Liaising closely with the housekeeper
  • Ensuring the property is ready and functioning properly for the principal’s use
  • Supporting with the wider Cotswolds estate when required

Practical Support

  • Being happy to muck in wherever needed
  • Receiving deliveries, checking work and resolving small issues
  • Taking a “no problems, only solutions” approach
  • Knowing when to act independently and when to escalate

Work Pattern

This is a flexible role, primarily based from the candidate’s own home office, with attendance at the St John’s Wood property as required.

The client does not need someone on site all day, every day, but genuine flexibility is essential. This is not a strict 9–5 role, although availability is expected to be reasonable.

This role would suit an experienced Private PA / House Manager who is practical, responsive, independent and comfortable operating in a high-trust private household environment.

Requirements

  • Used to supporting HNW or UHNW private clients
  • Based within easy reach of London
  • Comfortable working from their own home office
  • Flexible with hours and availability
  • Able to work around a principal who travels internationally
  • Comfortable with occasional time-zone flexibility
  • Practical, fast and highly organised
  • Discreet, calm and emotionally intelligent
  • Strong enough to manage expectations and communicate clearly
  • Happy to be hands-on when required
  • Confident dealing with contractors, maintenance and property issues
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • A clean, confident driver
  • Comfortable driving in London and potentially to the Cotswolds
  • Polished but not precious

The candidate does not necessarily need to own a car, although this may be useful. There may be access to a vehicle on site, but this would not be for the PA’s exclusive use and the principal would have priority.
