Private Patient Account Manager
Oaklands Hospital – Salford
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands Hospital for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and customer services skills to join our Private Patient Team.
Oaklands Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading providers of NHS and private patients’ services in England. The hospital has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for patients with health insurance, patients who are self-funding treatment or NHS patients exercising choice through the e-referral system.
By investing in the latest advanced medical technology, we offer a wide range of treatments and services. We care for patients from initial outpatient consultation and diagnostic scanning through to surgical treatment and recovery.
The Role:
The successful applicant will liaise with self-pay and medically insured patients, local hospital teams, Consultants and Medical Secretaries to grow private patient admissions, and to ensure the private patient experience is consistently and exceptionally delivered. You will need to have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload whilst working under pressure, be target driven and have a proven track record of achieving results. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver a programme of public events, reflecting local and corporate business development strategies.
One of the key functions of the role will be to assist your Hospital Director to deliver growth in self-pay and private medically insured volumes working with set targets & key performance indicators. You will build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, whilst also working with the corporate marketing team to deliver key objectives for national campaigns and our public events strategy. You will work closely with our central enquiry centre providing information on your services and consultant availability.
Importantly, you will be the key point of contact for our private patients and you will help them make informed choices about their care; ensuring they have the best patient experience.

What you will bring with you:
- Proven track record of achieving targets whilst maintaining an outstanding level of customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a private healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong customer service and sales experience
- Sound computer skills using the MS Office Suite and Web based reporting
- Confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Goal focused, and results driven
