The Role

We are looking for an experienced, highly organised, and proactive Private Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a couple and oversee the smooth running of their day-to-day personal and household affairs.

This is a varied and hands-on position requiring an exceptional level of organisation, discretion, and initiative. The successful candidate will be confident managing busy diaries and personal arrangements while also coordinating and delegating responsibilities across household staff.

You will act as a central point of contact, ensuring priorities are communicated clearly, tasks are followed through, and the household operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing complex personal diaries, appointments, and schedules for the couple
  • Coordinating travel, accommodation, reservations, and detailed itineraries
  • Managing personal correspondence, appointments, and day-to-day administration
  • Coordinating and delegating tasks to household staff
  • Ensuring household staff are clear on schedules, priorities, and responsibilities
  • Acting as a key point of communication between the principals and household team
  • Following up on delegated tasks and ensuring they are completed to the required standard
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, service providers, and other external contacts
  • Coordinating household maintenance, deliveries, appointments, and projects
  • Organising personal engagements, events, and social arrangements
  • Handling confidential and sensitive personal information with complete discretion
  • Anticipating the couple’s requirements and proactively resolving issues
  • Managing multiple priorities and ensuring nothing is overlooked

About You

You will be an experienced Private PA who is naturally organised, discreet, and proactive. You should be comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities and confident delegating to others while maintaining excellent working relationships with household staff.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Private PA, Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a comparable role
  • Previous experience coordinating, supervising, and delegating responsibilities to household staff
  • Strong diary, travel, and lifestyle-management experience
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level of discretion and understanding of confidentiality
  • Confident and professional when dealing with staff, suppliers, and external contacts
  • Ability to delegate effectively and follow up to ensure tasks are completed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Calm, resourceful, and solutions-focused under pressure
  • Comfortable working autonomously and using initiative
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, office-based position, five days per week. The role does not offer hybrid or remote working.

Salary

£65,000 per annum

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private PA who enjoys taking ownership, coordinating people, and managing the many moving parts involved in supporting a busy private household.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years’ relevant experience and demonstrable experience managing or delegating responsibilities to household staff.
