Private Property Associate | NQ-3 PQE | London

UHNW Residential Property | Prime London | Country Estates | International Private Clients

Lex Exec is working with one of the best-known names in the international private wealth market to recruit an Associate into its highly regarded Private Property team.

This is a firm with an exceptional reputation for advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, entrepreneurs and landed estate owners.

Its private client credentials are among the strongest in the market, with top-tier rankings across the major legal directories, including Band 1 recognition in Chambers High Net Worth for Private Wealth and High Value Residential Property and leading Legal 500 rankings across private client, agriculture and estates and residential property.

For a residential property lawyer looking to move into genuinely high-end private client work, this is an outstanding platform.

The Role

The successful Associate will join a substantial and highly regarded Private Property practice, working on sophisticated residential property matters for a domestic and international client base.

The work is varied and can include:

  • Acquisitions and disposals of prime and super-prime residential property
  • London houses and apartments
  • Country houses and estates
  • Residential development and investment property
  • High-value renovation and development projects
  • Property holding structures and cross-border ownership issues
  • Landlord and tenant matters
  • Property matters forming part of wider private wealth and estate planning
  • Opportunities to work alongside specialists advising landed estates and rural property owners

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A major attraction is the client base. The team acts for HNW and UHNW individuals and families, international clients, entrepreneurs, investors and owners of significant landed and historic estates. The wider firm has market-leading capabilities across private wealth, tax, trusts, family, landed estates and other areas affecting private clients, creating genuinely multidisciplinary work rather than residential conveyancing in isolation.

About You

We are interested in speaking with solicitors from NQ to approximately 3 years PQE who can demonstrate:

  • Strong residential property experience
  • Excellent technical grounding in property law
  • Experience of, or a clear interest in, high-value residential property
  • Excellent academics
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Confidence dealing directly with sophisticated clients
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach
  • The ability to build strong relationships across a wider private client practice

You do not necessarily need to be coming from an identical UHNW practice. Candidates from strong residential property teams who have the technical ability and client skills to make the step into this market are encouraged to apply.
