Private Shopping Host

The Private Shopping Host is responsible for delivering a seamless and unrivalled customer journey, ensuring that every moment—from the moment our clients enter our doors—is personalised, intuitive, and exceptional. Based on meticulous standards, credibility, and trust, this role elevates Harrods’ Hosts to a level of world-class service.


About the Role

Our Client Experience Team serves a dual role as hosts and ambassadors—welcoming the most discerning clientele to our Private Shopping Suites. First impressions are enduring, making this position fundamental in crafting the curated experience our clients expect:

  • Welcome clients promptly and warmly.
  • Escort clients to hosting lounges.
  • Schedule appointments, manage room bookings, and oversee the front desk operations.
  • Assist in sign-in procedures and maintain a clean, organised reception area.

As a Private Shopping Host, you’ll thrive in high-pressure environments while delivering efficiency and exceptional customer expectations. Here’s what this role calls for:

  • Deal triage: Stay composed and address challenging situations professionally—escalate to management when necessary.
  • Fast-learning curiosity: Quickly grasp Private Shopping’s depth, then communicate it confidently to clients.
  • Collaboration: Contribute to a team environment with proven experience.
  • Dynamic multitasking: Manage requests from multiple teams with organisation and adaptability.
  • High-pressure performance: Handle inquiries under pressure while providing accurate info on services, facilities, or events.
