Draft wills are generated from client responses and reviewed and approved by STEP-qualified and SRA-regulated solicitors before final delivery. No office appointments. No inflated fees. Just clear, expert estate planning delivered online.
Wassiya offers specialist capability in faith-based estate planning, including Faraid-compliant Islamic wills, alongside standard will writing for all clients. Fixed, transparent pricing — typically 40–70% lower than traditional solicitor fees — ensures every family can access the protection they deserve.
Role Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join Wassiya on a freelance, per-case basis. This is a remote-friendly role suited to a solicitor who wants to focus purely on delivering high-quality legal work without the burden of business development or client acquisition — Wassiya handles that.

You will review AI-assisted will drafts generated from structured client questionnaires, ensure legal accuracy and compliance, and approve final documents before they are delivered to clients. You will advise on estate planning matters including inheritance, family provisions, trust structures, and faith-based requirements, and collaborate with the Wassiya team to continuously improve document quality and client communications.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Reviewing structured will drafts and client questionnaire responses
- Identifying legal risks, ambiguities, or gaps requiring resolution
- Making amendments and drafting additional clauses where required
- Raising queries with clients via the platform where clarification is needed
- Approving final wills to the standard required for legal delivery
- Supporting continuous improvement of Wassiya's estate planning processes

Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a valid SRA practising certificate
- 1–5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law — wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning
- STEP qualification or membership preferred
- Experience drafting wills of varying complexity, including life interest and discretionary trust structures
- Ability to draft clear, precise legal documents and communicate complex legal concepts in plain English
- Experience or strong interest in faith-based estate planning, including Faraid-compliant Islamic wills, is highly desirable
- Comfortable working independently, managing a per-case freelance workload, and meeting turnaround deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and commitment to client-centred, ethical practice
