Private Staff Nanny | Location: Leicestershire (LE7)

Position: Part-time, Tues-Thurs | Live-out | Up to 40k pro rata (24k pa)


Overview

A high-net-worth family based in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced, professional, and caring Private Nanny to provide exceptional childcare within their private household. The successful candidate will have extensive experience caring for young children in private homes and will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment while maintaining the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, high-quality care for the family's child(ren), ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
  • Establish and maintain daily routines, including meals, naps, school or nursery runs, and bedtime where required
  • Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through positive and nurturing care
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child(ren)
  • Manage children's laundry, wardrobes, bedrooms, toys, and play areas, ensuring they remain clean and organised
  • Accompany the family on outings, appointments, and occasional travel when required
  • Liaise with parents regarding routines, milestones, and any developmental observations
  • Work collaboratively with other household staff while maintaining professionalism and discretion
  • Be flexible and responsive to the family's changing schedule and childcare needs

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience working as a Private Nanny or in a similar high-end childcare role (essential)
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g. Level 3 Childcare, Norland, or equivalent) are highly desirable
  • Current Paediatric First Aid certification
  • Excellent understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning
  • Warm, patient, and engaging personality with a genuine passion for childcare
  • Calm, adaptable, and professional approach
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of the family's privacy
  • Highly organised with the ability to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence

Working Hours & Conditions

  • 3 days per week Tues - Thurs (plus European travel as required)
  • Live-out position
  • £40,000 gross per annum (pro rata) depending on experience
