We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Private Client Assistant Manager to join our growing advisory team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working closely with high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners, providing practical and strategic advice across a broad range of personal, business and international tax matters.
What does this role involve?
You will play a key role in advising clients on complex tax planning opportunities, supporting team members and develop strong, trusted client relationships.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and professional advisers to deliver high-quality, joined-up client solutions.
Client experience
- Build trusted relationships with private clients, understanding their objectives and providing clear, commercially focused tax advice.
Team Management
- Support and manage junior team members, providing guidance, coaching and technical development.

- Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and succession advice.
- Remuneration planning, including salary, dividends and other forms of extraction.
- Business incorporations, restructuring and associated tax considerations.
- Capital Allowances and tax-efficient investment in business assets.
- Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planning, including disposals, reorganisations and reliefs.
- International tax planning, including cross-border structures, residence and domicile considerations.
- Advising business owners and entrepreneurs on the interaction between their personal and business tax affairs.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and presenting clear, commercially focused recommendations.
- Preparing technical reports, calculations and client advice.
- Working alongside accountants, solicitors, financial advisers and other professional advisers where appropriate.
- Assisting with complex advisory projects and contributing to the development of the wider private client service.
- Where appropriate, promote our services to clients.
What we are looking for:-
- Have relevant experience within private client tax, personal tax or tax advisory.
- Strong knowledge of UK taxation and an interest in complex tax planning.
- Experience or exposure to IHT, CGT, business structures and international taxation.
- Be comfortable dealing directly with clients and explaining complex tax matters in clear, straightforward language.
- Be commercially aware and able to identify opportunities to add value for clients.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Be CTA, ACA, ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or working towards a relevant qualification.
