An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Personal Tax Consultant to join a growing tax team.
This role would suit a STEP-qualified private client tax specialist, or an individual with significant equivalent experience, who has strong expertise across personal tax and succession planning.
While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.
The Role
You will provide specialist tax advice to private clients, business owners and entrepreneurs, helping them identify effective tax planning and succession opportunities while delivering a high-quality, commercially focused service.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Advising clients on personal tax and succession planning.
- Providing specialist advice on trusts, estates and inheritance tax.
- Advising owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients.
- Managing and advising on capital gains tax and personal tax planning matters.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and providing practical, commercially focused advice.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Communicating confidently with clients and other professional advisers.
- Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of the tax offering.
- Supporting and developing junior members of the team.

Requirements
- STEP qualification or significant equivalent private client tax experience.
- Strong experience in personal tax and succession planning.
- Expertise in trusts, estates and inheritance tax planning.
- Experience advising owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients.
- Strong technical knowledge of capital gains tax and personal tax.
- Ability to identify tax planning opportunities and deliver practical advice.
- Commercial awareness and confidence dealing directly with clients.
- Strong communication, relationship management and business development skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to support and develop junior colleagues.
