Role Overview

Our team supports an impressive variety of clients, from entrepreneurial start-ups to established companies, charities, and family businesses.
To support the Manager as part of a team on the delivery of Streets' general personal tax function, executing the self-assessment tax return preparation for a range of clients. To support the team in carrying out the responsibilities of the tax department.
Key Responsibilities
- To have a reasonable understanding of taxation principles and practices to deliver an effective service to clients.
- Working with the Manager and team to ensure quality taxation services and excellent client service.
- Delivering the self-assessment tax return preparation for clients with a variety of sources of income to include investment portfolios, rental income, pensions, and overseas income.
- To assist with other taxation paperwork and returns such as 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns and liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on client matters.
- To have good client relationship skills, to be able to build strong relationships and handle client queries in a positive and client-focused manner.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to other trainees within the team where necessary.
- Assist the tax team with any ad hoc work that is required.
- The opportunity in the future to undertake studies toward the relevant tax qualification ATT supported by Streets.
