Role Description

As a Private Tutor at Tutoring Learning Base Ltd., you will deliver curriculum-aligned lessons to individual learners or small groups in an on-site setting. This part-time role involves planning and preparing engaging lesson materials, explaining concepts clearly, and adapting teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities. You will assess learner progress through homework, practice exercises, and informal assessments, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable goals. The role also includes maintaining accurate records of sessions, communicating with parents or guardians about progress, and upholding a professional and supportive learning environment.

  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more core academic areas (e.g., Mathematics or English) and ability to explain concepts clearly to learners of varying abilities.
  • Demonstrated tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience, with skills in lesson planning, classroom or session management, and adapting instruction to individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, patience, and the ability to build trust and rapport with learners and families.
  • Organisational and time-management skills to schedule sessions, track learner progress, and maintain accurate records of work and outcomes.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners, including willingness to complete background checks and follow relevant child protection policies.
  • Beneficial qualifications include a relevant degree or equivalent in an academic subject or education.
