Role Description
We are seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and reliable tutors to join our growing team on a zero-hours contract. As a Tutor at Grade Power Academy, you will deliver engaging one-to-one online lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs, helping them strengthen subject knowledge, develop effective exam techniques, and achieve their academic goals.

Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-quality online tuition to GCSE and/or A-Level students.
- Plan and prepare personalised lessons based on each student’s learning needs.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- Support students with homework, revision, coursework, and examination preparation.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and the Grade Power Academy team.
- Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional standards at all times.
Qualifications & Person Specification
Applicants should demonstrate:

- Strong subject knowledge in one or more GCSE and/or A-Level subjects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A reliable internet connection and appropriate equipment for delivering online lessons.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
Desirable
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
- A degree (or currently studying towards one) in a relevant subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching UK GCSE and/or A-Level specifications.
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
