Tuitionary - Tutor Opportunities
Tuitionary is a growing tutoring company based in Aberdeen, helping students improve their understanding, confidence and academic performance.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable tutors to join our growing team and provide high-quality academic support to students across a range of subjects and levels.
While we are open to tutors across different academic subjects, we are particularly interested in applicants with strong backgrounds in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science or other STEM subjects.
Roles
As a Tuitionary Tutor, you will work with students to help them understand challenging topics, improve their academic performance and develop effective study and exam techniques. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging one-to-one tutoring sessions
- Teaching your chosen subject(s) at the appropriate level
- Identifying students' strengths and areas for improvement
- Adapting your teaching approach to suit individual students
- Explaining difficult concepts clearly and effectively
- Helping students prepare for tests, exams and coursework
- Working through past-paper and exam-style questions where appropriate
- Providing constructive feedback on student progress
- Preparing effectively for tutoring sessions
- Maintaining professional communication with students and parents
- Following Tuitionary's teaching methods and standards

You do not need to be studying or have graduated in Education. We are particularly interested in university students and graduates with strong academic backgrounds who are able to communicate their knowledge effectively.
Subjects
We are open to applications from tutors across a wide range of academic subjects. Examples include:
- Maths
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Computer Science
- English
- History
- Geography
- Modern Languages
- Business
- Economics
- Other academic subjects
Applicants with strong backgrounds in Maths, Science or other STEM subjects are particularly encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Applicants should have strong knowledge of the subject(s) they wish to teach and be able to demonstrate their academic ability. Experience tutoring or teaching is desirable but not essential. We are also interested in capable university students and graduates who have excellent subject knowledge and communication skills. Experience with the relevant UK examination system, such as QS, is beneficial. Appropriate safeguarding and recruitment checks will be required where applicable.
