The company focuses on tailored sessions that meets the individual needs and learning styles of each student. The team is committed to helping learners improve subject knowledge, study skills, and exam performance while maintaining clear communication with families.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Private Tutor role based in Sidcup and Bexley. The Private Tutor will be provided a plan and deliver one-to-one lessons, adapting teaching methods and materials to the needs and abilities of each learner. Daily responsibilities include assessing student progress, preparing lesson plans and resources, setting homework or practice tasks, and providing regular feedback to the designated person.

The tutor will maintain a calm, focused learning environment, manage schedules and session records, and collaborate with the company to align tuition with curriculum standards and exam requirements. The role may involve supporting learners with a range of ages and levels, including exam preparation and general academic support.

Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in core academic areas (e.g., mathematics, English, sciences) and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Ability to travel to and from lessons, as well as time management skills ensuring they arrive on time and complete a full session.
- Demonstrated experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring learners in an educational setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage learners and build trust with families.
- Ability to plan structured lessons, set achievable goals, and track learner progress over time.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to support learners with different abilities and learning styles.
- Organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple students, schedules, and records.
- Familiarity with UK school curricula and examination formats (e.g., GCSE, A-level) is highly beneficial.
- Relevant academic qualifications in education or subject-specific fields; teaching or tutoring certifications are an advantage.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
