Prestige IFA Jobs is delighted to be representing our client, an established and growing international wealth management business, in the search for an experienced Private Wealth Adviser to join its UK team on a self-employed basis.
This is an opportunity for an established adviser with a strong commercial mindset who enjoys building a client book, developing long-term relationships and growing recurring revenue.
Our client is headquartered in Poole, but advisers can operate remotely from anywhere in the UK. The business provides financial advice to internationally connected clients and has a wider international presence across the UK, Europe, Switzerland, the USA and the Middle East.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing their own client portfolio, using their existing network and business development skills to identify new opportunities and convert prospects into long-term advisory relationships.
The role offers the independence expected from a self-employed adviser, while providing access to a fully licensed, multi-jurisdictional platform, centralised compliance, operations and paraplanning support.
This allows advisers to concentrate on what they do best — building relationships, delivering quality advice and growing their business.
Our client also has its own wealth technology platform, designed to reduce administration and maximise the amount of time advisers can spend with clients and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Building & Growing a Client Base
- Develop and expand a personal client portfolio
- Generate new business through referrals, professional networks, events and proactive business development
- Identify and convert prospective clients into long-term relationships
- Build strong and lasting relationships with existing clients
- Increase client retention and develop additional opportunities within the existing client base
- Leverage the wider group’s brand, marketing activity, network and professional introducer relationships

Client Advice & Financial Planning
- Provide holistic financial advice across investments, pensions, protection, tax and estate planning
- Conduct regular client reviews and ensure financial strategies remain aligned with changing objectives and circumstances
- Develop tailored financial planning strategies for clients
- Where appropriate, advise internationally mobile clients with assets, income or family interests spanning multiple jurisdictions
Candidate Profile
Prestige IFA Jobs is seeking experienced advisers who combine strong technical knowledge with genuine commercial ambition.
Candidates Should Ideally Have
- Level 4 qualification in Financial Advice or equivalent
- Previous experience working as a practising financial adviser
- A strong commercial approach and proven ability to develop new business
- A genuine focus on client acquisition and relationship development
- The ability to work independently and manage their own business effectively
- Excellent organisation, professionalism and attention to detail
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Desirable Experience
The Following Would Also Be Advantageous
- An existing client book that could potentially transfer
- Experience advising expatriate or internationally mobile clients
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions
- Additional regulatory licences, or a willingness to obtain further permissions where required
