Our Impact
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading, and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation.
Business Engagement is a high-touch relationship management team responsible for defining and executing the client service strategy for Private Wealth Management (PWM) Operations. The group is focused on building and improving connectivity with the PWM Business, enhancing the client experience, driving strategic initiatives to promote organizational success, and serving as a central resource for managing escalations and coordinating bespoke operational needs.
Role Overview
As the PWM Business Engagement Associate in London, you will serve as a primary operational partner and relationship manager for the PWM business in the EMEA region. This is a unique opportunity to be a representative of the Business Engagement team on the ground in London. While you will have direct access to local senior leadership support, you will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy—interacting directly with the business, managing regional escalations, and driving the local operational strategy in close alignment with US-based management.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Regional Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for London-based Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs), business leaders, and local senior stakeholders on operational matters.
- Strategic Execution: Partner with US-based management to design, implement, and drive the local PWM Operations strategy, ensuring regional nuances are integrated into global initiatives.
- Escalation & Problem Resolution: Serve as the central regional escalation point for complex, bespoke, or high-priority operational issues, coordinating across global functional teams to deliver swift and seamless resolutions.
- Business Connectivity: Proactively engage with the business to identify operational pain points, gather feedback, and translate business needs into actionable operational or technological solutions.
- Risk & Control Ownership: Maintain a strong risk management culture by identifying process vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to regional regulatory requirements, and escalating potential risks appropriately.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage business intelligence tools and metrics to analyze operational performance, identify trends, and present strategic updates to local senior leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with local and global partners across Legal, Compliance, Product, and Technology to support new business initiatives, product launches, and regulatory changes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
