OUR IMPACT
Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.
YOUR IMPACT
The Investment Strategy Group (ISG), within Asset & Wealth Management of Goldman Sachs, provides customized asset allocation solutions to help clients preserve and grow their wealth.
The main responsibility of the hire will be to develop customized asset allocation solutions for our clients and to implement discretionarily managed quantitative strategies. The hire will work with the rest of the team and private wealth advisors to gather client information, analyze client portfolios, produce customized asset allocation solutions, and prepare analysis for presentations. In addition, the hire will assist on the team’s research efforts related to asset allocation modelling and individual asset classes. Specifically:
- Help with customized asset allocation solutions using the ISG asset allocation model
- Generate customized research reports and presentations for clients
- Assist on research related to asset allocation issues and individual asset classes
- Provide asset allocation guidance to the Private Wealth Management team
- Assist with business development, including the creation and maintenance of marketing materials, as well as the generation of client performance reports and ad-hoc requests
- Assist in managing portfolio implementation plans, on-boarding discussions, and changes to investment management agreements
- Liaise with internal stakeholders supporting ISG and PWM (Legal, Compliance, Technology)
- Portfolio monitoring and rebalancing to predefined risk parameters, assisting with trading

REQUIREMENTS
- Master(s) in Finance with quantitative focus (mathematical finance, computational finance, financial engineering, financial econometrics etc.)
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with a minimum undergraduate degree(s) in a STEM subject or quantitative field, e.g. Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Computer Science. An undergraduate Economics degree is also acceptable if combined with a quantitative post-graduate degree in Finance.
- IT: Proficiency in programming languages (Python preferable); solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Proficiency in other European language(s) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of academic research and industry practices, keen interest in financial markets
- Effective communication – the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Strong inter-personal skills and a passion to engage with clients
- Attention to detail, patience, and ability to multi-task under pressure
- Collaborative with the ability to follow instructions and execute with good judgement
- Independent and logical with the willingness to constantly think critically and outside of the box
- Highly motivated, eager to learn and the ability to work in a fast-paced high-stress environment
