CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary - Part-time 2-3 days a week for 6 months.
AVAILABILITY:
- 1 Hour Team meeting per week; all other timings are flexible.
REPORTING TO:

LOCATION:
- Preference for London, however can be remote from anywhere in the UK.

We will provide a safe, welcoming space for people to connect, using football as the tool to bring people together. A key focus will be to expand our volunteering offer. This will both allow a broader range of people to become more deeply engaged with our work, and also improve our offer for participants by developing more activities and opportunities.
Learning:
We will provide a range of educational and learning opportunities. Alongside our strong programme delivery in Wembley, we will expand our provision to other communities where there is a need and demand for our activities.
Health and Wellbeing:
We will improve people's health and wellbeing through a range of activities offered both by ourselves and our partners. We will engage with our local community and partners regularly to ensure our offer remains relevant and meets emerging needs.

ROLE OVERVIEW & PRIORITIES
Summary of position
Working alongside the directors, the Programme Manager will be responsible for supporting the executive team, operations, and leading the business development of the I Speak Football Programme. You will support us to expand the newly improved curriculum to new partners and territories. You will support us in developing the product and testing the feasibility with multiple client types. You will supercharge the talent of the directors, refugee advisory board, and wider I Speak Football team to do great things.
By the end of the project, you will have either:
- Created a business development plan and tools that allow the directors to sustainably pursue expansion across the UK and beyond themselves.
- Secured funding to pay for your continued or expanded position and provided continued business development of the programme.
Task Description:
GOALS:
- Build a network of ESOL Teachers and Football Coaches that can deliver ISF programmes in targeted areas.
- Develop new I Speak Football Partnerships and nurture current relationships.
- Support fundraising goals around grants and proposal writing.
- Build accountability across the executive team and maximise potential of advisory board members to improve programme delivery.
Operations:
- Support the day-to-day running of the programme in Wembley and the wider project goals.
- Participate in weekly leadership group meetings with the Directors.
- Run the executive team and increase productivity of this group.
- Support the team to run the 2026 Wembley Project - including helping to expand its foothold in the region, and development of links with the local refugee community.
- Create an accountable work tracking system to supercharge the ISF Team.
- Suggest efficiency improvements to allow the ISF Team to improve.

Business Development:
- Help I Speak Football to become sustainable through developing relationships and securing funding through our wider eco-system.
- Manage the positioning and continuous development of the ISF Programme to allow it to be a successful product for clients.
- Nurture current partnerships and develop new Partnerships that allow the growth of the programme. Helping I Speak Football to find coaches, ESOL tutors, and businesses that can support delivery.
- Develop a multi-channel approach to fundraising including: Service Delivery, Partner delivery modality, and funds from grants.
General:
- Support the team with fundraising opportunities, including writing applications and sourcing opportunities for funding.
- Ensure high ethical standards, including safeguarding, are adhered to at all times when representing I Speak Football.

Essential
- Track record of product development
- Track record of building relationships and community
- Experience working asynchronously

Desirable
- Experience with a start-up, especially a sports education start-up.
- Experience working on social impact projects, programmes or products.
- Excellent Communication Skills, both written and oral.
- Experience winning UK mid-size funds.
- Proactive and able to manage their own time effectively.
- Experience pitching in the education, football, or refugee services space.
- Experience working to support displaced people.
