Our diverse, connected community collaborates to create results for clients and opportunities for our people to learn, grow and make an impact.
At AMS, we look for people who bring more than experience, and we welcome different perspectives and ways of thinking.
The Role:
As a Proactive Talent Sourcer you will play a key role in supporting our client, one of the UK's leading full-service law firms, delivery of an outstanding candidate experience while supporting high-volume recruitment across a range of legal support and paralegal roles.
Working in a fast-paced, candidate-focused environment, you'll manage applications, maintain strong communication throughout the hiring journey, and build talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs. You'll work closely with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure candidates receive timely updates, are well prepared for each stage of the process, and experience a seamless recruitment journey from application through to offer.
While the role is primarily focused on response handling and candidate management, you'll also have opportunities to proactively source talent for when required, using market insights and sourcing techniques to engage high-quality candidates.
Key Accountabilities:
- Partner closely with Recruiters to deliver a seamless, high-quality recruitment experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Manage candidate applications, ensuring timely review, accurate screening, and progression through the recruitment process.
- Conduct engaging and consultative conversations with candidates to assess their skills, experience, motivations, and suitability for current and future opportunities.
- Coordinate & prepare candidates for each stage of the hiring process, and provide clear guidance and ongoing support throughout their recruitment journey.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates, providing timely updates, managing expectations, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience from application through to offer.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for frequently recruited roles, nurturing candidate relationships to support future hiring demand.
- Work collaboratively with Recruiters to gain a clear understanding of role requirements, hiring priorities, and candidate profiles.
- Use recruitment systems and sourcing channels, including LinkedIn and internal talent pools, to identify suitable candidates for niche or hard-to-fill vacancies when required.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity across relevant systems, ensuring data quality and process compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and best practices that enhance recruitment delivery, candidate engagement, and overall hiring efficiency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
