We are one of the leading Will writers in the UK, helping clients protect their families and assets through high-quality estate-planning solutions, including Wills, trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).

Our teams work closely together to deliver a professional, efficient and compassionate service to clients at all stages of their estate-planning journey.

The role

This role will be responsible for managing a caseload of probate matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring that estates are administered efficiently, compliantly and with a high standard of client care.

You will work closely with clients, beneficiaries and third parties, providing guidance and support throughout the probate process.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing a caseload of probate files, including both taxable and non-taxable estates.
  • Preparing and submitting probate applications and associated documentation.
  • Collecting and valuing estate assets and liabilities.
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, HMRC, financial institutions and other third parties.
  • Drafting estate accounts and ensuring accurate distribution of assets.
  • Providing clear and timely updates to clients throughout the probate process.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with legal requirements, company procedures and service level agreements.
  • Identifying and escalating any risks or complex issues to senior team members where appropriate.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date file records and case management systems.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of probate processes and systems.
  • Drafting Wills and Lasting Power’s of Attorney’s
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties requested by management.

What you'll bring

Essential

  • Previous experience handling probate or estate administration matters.
  • Good understanding of probate procedures, inheritance tax and estate administration.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Legal qualification - LPC or CILEX with practising rights.
  • Experience dealing with complex or high-value estates.
  • Familiarity with case management systems.
  • Experience working to performance targets or service level agreements.
