Role Description

The Probate Case Manager is a full-time home based role. This role manages a portfolio of probate and estate administration cases from initial instruction through to completion, maintaining clear timelines and documentation.

  • Gathering and reviewing estate information
  • Liaising with beneficiaries and professional partners
  • Preparing probate applications
  • Coordinating with legal and financial stakeholders as needed

The Probate Case Manager will maintain accurate case records, provide regular updates to referrers and clients, and ensure compliance with internal processes and applicable regulations. The role also involves identifying potential issues early, proposing practical solutions, and contributing to continuous improvement of workflows and client communications.

Qualifications

  • Experience in probate, estate administration, or a related legal or financial services environment, with strong case management abilities.
  • Excellent client service skills, including empathy, clear communication, and the ability to support families sensitively through bereavement.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, data handling, and preparation of forms and correspondence.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and case management systems; comfortable working from home.
  • Understanding of UK probate processes and terminology; formal training or qualifications in law, paralegal studies, or estate administration are beneficial.
  • Demonstrated reliability, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.
