Role: Probate Solicitor - Senior / Lead

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 (DOE)

Location: Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, or Stratford-upon-Avon

Are you looking to develop your career within a forward‑thinking, tech‑enabled legal team? We’re recruiting Probate Solicitors/Fee Earners to join a growing specialist department within a well‑known national legal services organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a varied probate caseload from start to finish, supported by modern legal technology and a collaborative team environment. You won’t need to bring your own following—new work is provided.

The team has doubled in size over the past year, and with further growth and innovation planned, it’s an excellent time to join.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own end‑to‑end caseload of probate matters of varying complexity
  • Using a case management system and AI‑enabled tools to progress files efficiently
  • Ensuring all case information is accurately recorded
  • Communicating with clients primarily via phone and email
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and accessing expert support
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members through knowledge sharing

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEX, STEP, or equivalent), or experienced probate fee earner
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a high‑volume environment
  • A client‑centred approach and the ability to build rapport in a remote setting
  • Proactive mindset with the confidence to use your initiative
