Problem Manager
£550 per day | Outside IR35 | 6-month contract
Hybrid, Worthing, West Sussex
We are looking for an experienced Problem Manager to join a large, complex organisation and help refresh and improve its Problem Management capability on an initial 6 month contract, with possible extension and working outside of IR35.
You will work alongside the existing Problem Manager, focusing primarily on P1 – P4 incidents to reduce current workloads, as well as helping to dig into root cause analysis of recurring problems.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, challenge superficial fixes and secure buy in from technical teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Lead root cause analysis and post-incident problem reviews
- Identify recurring issues and drive permanent fixes
- Improve the quality of problem records, known errors and workarounds
- Track actions through to completion and challenge delays
- Use ServiceNow data to identify trends and emerging risks
- Work across Incident, Change, Service Delivery and technical teams
- Help embed a more proactive and prevention focused approach

Requirements:
- Proven Problem Management experience within a complex enterprise or regulated environment
- Proven experience reducing repeat P1 – P4 incidents
- Strong ServiceNow and ITIL experience
- Confidence leading Root Cause Analysis and challenging technical teams
- The tenacity to drive actions through to completion
- Strong influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
