Process Assistant (P2P)

We're looking for a Process Assistant (P2P) to join our busy and supportive Finance & Accounting team in Newport. As part of a large P2P function, you'll play a key role in ensuring high-volume invoice processing is completed accurately and efficiently. Working within a collaborative environment, you'll have the support of experienced Team Leaders, SMEs, and colleagues who are committed to helping you develop your skills and succeed.

This is a hybrid role, with attendance in our Newport office on Mondays and Tuesdays, and home working for the remainder of the week.

What you will be doing:

  • Processing high volumes of invoices and financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Managing end-to-end p2p activities, including invoice verification and purchase order matching.
  • Monitoring and managing your own workload, ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Investigating and resolving invoice exceptions, discrepancies, and processing issues.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating systems in line with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by identifying errors, trends, and opportunities to enhance processes.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience working in a data entry, administration, or transaction processing role. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
  • Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to learning new processes and adapting to changing priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
