Job Opportunity at Delta Capita
This is an exciting opportunity to join Delta Capita’s fast-growing Consulting business, delivering innovative workflow and automation solutions within complex financial services environments.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting workflow automation solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency. Working closely with business stakeholders, the successful candidate will translate requirements into scalable applications and automated workflows, supporting critical delivery programmes within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain workflow automation solutions using Appian and related technologies.
- Build and manage end-to-end business process orchestration across multiple systems.
- Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and support REST API integrations between applications and third-party platforms.
- Create and maintain database structures, queries and data migrations using SQL.
- Support application testing, defect resolution and production deployments.
- Produce technical documentation, process flows and support materials.
- Collaborate with business users, project teams and technical stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide knowledge transfer and support to users and wider delivery teams.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience developing workflow automation and business process management solutions.
- Hands-on Appian development experience.
- Experience with process orchestration and workflow design.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON and XML.
- SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders.
- Understanding of software delivery lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with testing, deployment and application support activities.
Desirable
- Experience within Financial Services environments.
- Exposure to the iQ platform or similar workflow management platforms.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Appian certification (Associate, Senior Developer or equivalent).
