We are looking for an experienced Process Commissioning Manager to lead process delivery, technical governance and commissioning strategy across the framework. Working closely with design, construction and operational teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring assets are successfully commissioned, optimised and handed over to our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the process commissioning strategy across the AMP8 programme.
- Produce process commissioning plans, including temporary works and resource requirements.
- Lead the planning and delivery of commissioning activities, start-up methodologies and operating plans.
- Develop optimisation plans, performance testing strategies and Partial Build Test Plans through to TAP4.
- Ensure commissioning and operational requirements are considered throughout the design phase.
- Provide expert input into process design activities, including process flow diagrams, mass balances, control philosophies, operating plans and process equipment specifications.
- Support process optioneering, innovation initiatives and whole-life cost assessments.
- Drive the implementation of Asset Supportability Plans, T-RAM and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
- Review process elements of asset condition surveys and identify commissioning and operational support requirements.
- Support procurement activities for process-critical plant and equipment.
- Liaise with United Utilities operational teams, asset supportability engineers and other key stakeholders.
- Attend project reviews, progress meetings and technical workshops.
- Support programme delivery, subcontract management and reporting activities.
- Contribute to commissioning activities and site call-out rotas where required.

Review And Approval Of
- Project programme and collaborative planning
- Process Risk Assessments, Method Statements
- Commissioning ITPs and testing proposals
- Health & Safety regulations and internal company policies
- Temporary process treatment and over-pumping proposals
- Process commissioning methodologies
- Management of sampling and lab equipment
- Documentation and storage of process equipment calibration and certification
About You
You'll have proven experience in process commissioning within the water, wastewater or related process industries and a strong understanding of treatment processes, operational readiness and asset performance. You'll be confident working with multidisciplinary teams, engaging with clients and driving continuous improvement throughout project delivery.

- Engineering qualification – BEng, HNC, HND
- CSCS
