Process Engineer

Are you passionate about improving manufacturing processes, solving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement? Do you enjoy working with data, collaborating across teams, and making a tangible impact on operational performance?

We're looking for a Process Engineer to join our team at EGGER Barony. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting production operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping to deliver technical projects within a world-class manufacturing environment.

As a Process Engineer, you'll work closely with colleagues across Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to analyse performance, improve processes, and contribute to the continued success of our operation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide technical support to the Production Department to optimise operational performance.
  • Monitor, analyse, and communicate production process data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead projects to enhance efficiency, quality, productivity, and reliability.
  • Support consistency of operation across all shifts through process standardisation and best practice sharing.
  • Participate actively in improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Provide technical input and support for capital investment and development projects.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across departments to develop and improve systems and processes.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental performance, and quality.
  • Communicate and collaborate with colleagues across the wider EGGER Group, including occasional travel to other EGGER sites.
  • Maintain and develop professional knowledge and skills through continuous learning and development activities.

Essential

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or HNC qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or a relevant industrial discipline.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of IT competence, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical and operational data.

Desirable

  • Experience within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and process optimisation techniques.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
  • Supervisory-level Health & Safety knowledge or experience.
  • Experience within wood-based panel manufacturing, paper, chemicals, or similar process industries.
