You will constantly & constructively challenge the norm in all manufacturing areas and promote a continuous improvement culture.

Your Responsibilities

  • To review and assess existing production processes and workflows in the Refinery.

  • To ‘finetune’ production processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing associated methods and equipment.
  • To rectify production and equipment problems as and when required.
  • To analyze plant and process data/metrics.
  • To identify key cost parameters for the business and identify opportunities where cost reductions are possible.

  • To liaise with production management to co-ordinate and arrange work/projects that require plant shutdown.
  • To report and action on any health, safety, environment, quality or hygiene related faults, failures and non-conformances, ensuring the process is operating in compliance with legislative & ADM guidance on Health, Safety and Environment, Quality, HACCP and GMP and any other relevant policies or procedures.
  • To ensure work is completed in compliance with all ADM H&S and TPS standards (considering aspects such as Risk Assessment, IPPC permits, Work Orders, LOTO, etc)
  • To work closely with Production Operators in terms of the production process, providing training and guidance where required and producing supporting documentation or SOP updates.
  • To maintain lines of communication on process issues between various departments to ensure production is not compromised including safety, production management, production operators, maintenance, Logistics, commercial, quality and relevant operations centres of excellence.
  • Utilizing appropriate ADM software such as MAXIMO & WAVE.
  • Actively looking for continuous improvement opportunities and efficiency improvements on site whilst contributing to and supporting the Performance Excellence work at Purfleet.
  • To act as a key member of production management team, attending relevant meetings, representing the site as and when required, supporting departmental managers in problem solving or ad-hoc projects and supervising the plant (including occasional out-of hours support) if needs occur.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
