Engineering services are delivered for the px group by the engineering consultancy division px Engineering Consultants Limited (“PXECL”). The team comprises of managers, senior engineers, engineers and designers that have direct experience of construction projects and operating facilities, as well as exceptional engineering expertise.
PXECL has established an excellent reputation with its clients and consequently much of the business is of a repeat nature. The team prides itself on the quality of its services and the strong relationships it builds with its clients and has a track record of delivering an integrated range of services. By combining technical and operational excellence, a sound understanding of regulatory environments and a robust and reliable project management system, px consistently delivers safe, efficient and compliant capital projects and services to a diverse client base supporting most industrial sectors.
The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Process Engineer.
The Process Engineer will work on assigned scopes to meet the demands of the process group. This will centre on providing technical support to, and implementing instructions from, the Engineering Manager, Principal Process Engineer, or other designated senior engineer.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain an appreciation and understanding of px business, site, departmental and sectional key performance indicators, strategies, policies, procedures and systems and how they interact together, through the completion of assigned projects and secondments.
- Be able to apply the above knowledge & understanding in your work scope, gaining an understanding of the impacts of your contributions - individually and as part of a team, to achieve these goals and strategies.
- Produce new, original ideas to further develop px business performance. Show a creative and innovative approach in developing strategies and concepts using current & investigating new approaches.
- Work with other departments/teams in the implementation and evaluation of new process initiatives, projects and developments in a 24/7 business. As required, manage & co-ordinate aspects/the whole project to successful resolution.
- Support other employees in maintaining high levels of safety, availability and reliability through contributions to, and leadership in, project enhancement and development and, when required, by demonstrating technical support.
- Contribute to the successful development and completion of assigned personal objectives and projects within the required timeframe.

Minimum Requirements
- Degree qualified in Process or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- Data interpretation & analysis skills, analysing problems & developing solutions.
- Knowledge and application of chemical/process engineering principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, as well as the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations.
- Work experience gained in a team, with a flexible attitude to role & duties.
- Ability to organise own workload to meet targets & make appropriate decisions
- Willing to learn new technical & non-technical skills
- Computer literate in MS Office.
