This is your new job:

A Monday - Friday daytime role with primary responsibilities for yield performance monitoring. The role also encompasses monitoring wafer fab electrical yield and coordinating and driving corrective actions / improvement activities to address yield excursions and associated product quality problems. Continuous awareness of the impact of yield and quality issues and involvement in activity to resolve problems arising will be expected. Supporting quality improvement, silicon qualification, and automation activities is also a requirement.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • HND or Degree Level in appropriate discipline.
  • Experience required: > 3 years in a manufacturing engineering role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and coordinate cross functional teams to lead yield improvement activities.
  • Support Test engineers with dispositioning of lots held for yield problems in the Finishing Fab and appropriate liaison with logistics, production and assembly centres with regard to lots with technical/yield problems.
  • Monitoring of yield performance, reporting of discrepancies, and initiation of corrective actions in wafer fab via process engineering or with materials suppliers via purchasing.
  • Carry out the appropriate analysis required to identify opportunities for yield improvement on individual product types, and participation in cross functional yield teams to achieve defined yield targets.
  • To ensure the integrity and content of wafer test specifications, parametric and electrical yield stop levels, and minimum yield levels in order to maintain and improve outgoing product quality.
  • To support quality engineers with 8D investigations of customer complaints.
  • Monitor Silicon supplier yield performance and initiate corrective actions to improve or rectify yield performance.
  • To conform to departmental and company procedures.
  • To support the introduction of new products and process technologies in Diefab. To work in conjunction with Development Engineering to improve yield from the development stage and continue into full production.
  • To support tool automation activities.
