Assala Energy Process Engineering Consultancy Services

Assala Energy is seeking the provision of specialist process engineering consultancy services to support its Projects portfolio. The engagement will focus on the delivery of process engineering studies, technical assessments, design deliverables, and recommendations associated with field development and asset optimisation activities within Assala Energy's operated assets in Gabon.

The Supplier shall provide suitably qualified personnel, expertise, methods, and tools necessary to deliver the agreed services and outputs. The Supplier shall retain discretion over how the services are delivered, subject to the achievement of agreed deliverables, milestones, and technical requirements.

Scope 1: Field Development Services

The Supplier shall provide process engineering services including, but not limited to:

  • Generation and technical evaluation of field development concepts using available production, reservoir, and geoscience data
  • Preparation of process engineering studies and assessments to support concept selection and project maturation activities
  • Development of process design deliverables across conceptual, FEED, and detailed design phases
  • Preparation, review, and issue of process engineering documentation, calculations, reports, and technical specifications required to support project decision-making
  • Provision of technical reviews and recommendations relating to vendor and contractor deliverables
  • Participation in multidisciplinary technical reviews to ensure integration of process engineering requirements into project solutions
  • Provision of technical input supporting project cost estimates, schedules, and execution planning
  • Preparation and presentation of technical findings, engineering studies, and recommendations to designated stakeholders
  • Identification and compilation of final process engineering documentation required for project close-out and handover

Typical deliverables may include:

  • Process engineering reports
  • Concept evaluation studies
  • Process simulations and supporting calculations
  • PFDs and P&IDs reviews

  • Close-out and handover documentation

Scope 2: Asset Optimisation Services

The Supplier shall provide process engineering consultancy services to identify and support implementation of opportunities to enhance the performance of mature producing assets, including:

  • Technical review of existing facilities, process systems, and operational performance
  • Identification, assessment, and ranking of opportunities to improve production efficiency, throughput, reliability, and crude export performance
  • Preparation of technical studies and engineering deliverables supporting recommended optimisation opportunities
  • Provision of technical support throughout the development and implementation of selected optimisation solutions
  • Development of process engineering documentation necessary to progress projects through applicable assurance and approval stages
  • Technical engagement with operational and project stakeholders to facilitate understanding and implementation of proposed solutions

Typical deliverables may include:

  • Asset performance assessments
  • Debottlenecking studies
  • Process optimisation reports
  • Simulation models and analyses
  • Feasibility assessments
  • Process design documentation
  • Technical recommendations and implementation plans

Requirements

The Consultant should be able to demonstrate the capability to deliver the following services and outcomes:

  • Provision of specialist process engineering expertise in support of onshore and offshore oil and gas projects
  • Development and evaluation of field development concepts, including identification and assessment of opportunities for late-life asset optimisation
  • Delivery of process engineering studies, technical assessments, and recommendations relating to oil and gas processing facilities and associated systems
  • Production of engineering deliverables, reports, calculations, and technical documentation in accordance with agreed project requirements
  • Application of industry-recognised engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices to support safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions
  • Utilisation of appropriate engineering and process simulation software, including but not limited to Unisim, Flare System Analyser, and Flaresim, where required to support the delivery of agreed outputs
  • Effective engagement with relevant project stakeholders to communicate findings, present recommendations, and support the delivery of agreed project objectives
  • Delivery of services with a focus on innovation, technical quality, safety, and achievement of agreed milestones and outcomes
