We’re working with a global industrial electronics manufacturer looking for an experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead a growing team and drive manufacturing performance across a high-volume production environment.

This is a key leadership position within the manufacturing function, responsible for developing a team of Process Engineers while driving continuous improvement, process optimisation, cost reduction and operational excellence across the business.

They manufacture thousands of products every day and is continuing to invest heavily in both people and production capability. As a result, this role offers significant scope to influence manufacturing strategy, improve operational performance, and leave a lasting impact on the business.

There is no visa sponsorship available for this role, and a UK driving license is required

Info About What The Process Engineering Manager Role Entails

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of process engineers
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing
  • Identify and eliminate process waste through Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Lead projects focused on productivity improvement, cost reduction, capacity increases and process optimisation.
  • Support engineering change management and manufacturing process control
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to quality and operational issues

Essential Requirements Of a Process Engineering Manager

  • Experience leading engineering teams
  • Strong background in manufacturing environments
  • Experience delivering measurable process improvements and cost savings
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction
  • Experience leading root cause analysis
  • Ability to engage, motivate and develop people

Desirable Requirements of a Process Engineering Manager

  • Experience within high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Experience with SMED, Line balancing, Yamazumi analysis or other similar Lean methodologies
  • Project management training or qualifications (PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
