Confidential - Senior Technical Opportunity – Water & Environmental Engineering - South East England:
Campbell Wood Search has been retained to support an established engineering business with the confidential appointment of an experienced technical professional to lead a specialist process engineering function.
This is a senior, hands-on position combining team leadership, technical governance, and the continued development of water and wastewater treatment solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of technical specialists
- Overseeing process design, equipment sizing, and performance modelling
- Supporting the development and validation of treatment technologies
- Planning and managing site trials, data analysis, and technical reporting
- Providing technical guidance throughout project development, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting
- Working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal commercial and engineering teams
- Driving continuous improvement across existing equipment and treatment processes

We are looking for someone with:
- A strong background in process engineering within the UK water or wastewater sector
- Experience across treatment process design, modelling, and equipment selection
- Previous involvement in field trials, performance analysis, or process optimization
- The ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical colleagues
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills
- A relevant engineering or scientific qualification

The position is based in South East England and will be predominantly office-based, with travel to operational sites when required.
