Process Evaluation Social Scientist

Applications are invited for a Social Scientist with excellent knowledge of qualitative data collection and analysis methods to work with Dr Charlotte Albury on an NIHR SPCR-funded trial aiming to increase flu vaccination rates in adults. The purpose of this role is to work on the qualitative process evaluation to understand patients’ and practitioners’ experiences of the trial; and to generate learning for subsequent implementation.

The role is embedded within the Communication and Language in Healthcare team, part of the thriving Health Behaviours theme in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS). The health behaviours theme focusses on interventions to prevent or treat ill-health, including a focus on diet, obesity, and smoking. The growing Communication and Language in Healthcare team, led by Associate Professor Charlotte Albury sits within this wider theme. The team aims to understand health communication and has a strong track record of applied research that can benefit patients and lead to changes in guidance and practice.
