Role Overview

The Process Improvement Specialist intern will help improve safety, productivity, quality and the driver experience across Amazon operations. The role combines continuous-improvement methods, data analysis and AI-enabled tools to identify and solve process problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement initiatives that simplify processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Use AI tools and analytics to identify inefficiencies, automate repetitive work and prototype solutions.
  • Analyse feedback and operational data, then own agreed improvements at site level.
  • Work with station management and other stakeholders to resolve process issues.
  • Audit compliance, identify gaps and support business decisions with evidence.
  • Share effective practices across local, national and European operations where required.

Internship Experience

The intern will conduct observations and audits, automate reporting, model proposed changes and influence operational performance from an assigned site. The placement is full time at a minimum of 40 hours per week and lasts three to six months.

Basic Qualifications

  • Penultimate- or final-year student working towards a degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics or a similar field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience communicating with varied stakeholders.
  • English language ability at C1 level or above.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using AI or digital tools for analysis, automation or problem-solving.
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, Minitab, JMP or Microsoft Access.
