Position Purpose

As a Process Lead within the Control Fabrication Department, this role coordinates and optimizes manufacturing and fabrication processes while overseeing work in the assigned process area. The role supports efficiency, quality, and safety by working closely with the team to identify process improvements, implement best practices, and ensure projects are executed seamlessly and in compliance with industry standards. This hands-on leadership role helps streamline operations, reduce costs, and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate Control Fabrication teams with varying technical skill sets to deliver project and manufacturing goals safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards by promoting teamwork, clear communication, collaboration, and cooperation across all shifts.
• Organize and manage workflow so team members understand their duties, delegated tasks, priorities, and project expectations.
• Answer technical questions from team members associated with manufacturing and control fabrication tasks.
• Share skills and knowledge with others to support department development and assist with training employees within the department.
• Read, understand, interpret, and utilize electrical drawings to support accurate fabrication and manufacturing execution.
• Apply quality control processes for assigned products or elements by identifying areas that do not meet specifications, supporting rework, escalating concerns, and recommending improvements.
• Maintain awareness of project schedules and deadlines for the team and raise concerns or recommend adjustments in a timely and effective manner when deadlines or goals are at risk.
• Interact with other departments as needed to refine understanding of requirements and provide suggestions, feedback, and progress updates.
• Independently complete complex projects with minimal guidance or supervision.
• Manage materials, prints, and supplies, and assign team members to projects based on priorities and requirements.
• Ensure product labeling requirements are accurately executed.
• Perform required maintenance and upkeep on equipment.
• Take initiative to improve methods, solve problems, and identify opportunities to improve departmental productivity.
• Communicate with management regarding project status, priorities, risks, and team performance.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including tools and equipment.
• Accurately capture labor hours and material issuing in Epicor.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required and participate in training and development programs to enhance skills.
• Perform assigned duties according to company policies and expectations; other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
