Summary
Lead and develop a production team to deliver safe, efficient, and high quality results while driving continuous improvement and a positive workplace culture.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused production leader to take responsibility for a designated area, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently achieved.
You will coach and develop your team, manage day-to-day performance, and work closely with HR, Training, and wider site functions to improve capability, engagement, and operational performance.
A key part of the role will be identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, challenging labor and throughput performance, and ensuring the area remains audit-ready.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop your team to deliver production, yield, quality, and safety targets
- Manage absence, performance, conduct, holiday cover, and employee relations in line with company policies
- Support onboarding and deliver training plans to develop team capability
- Promote Sofina values of Integrity, Respect, and Accountability across the area
- Drive employee engagement and support local and company recognition initiatives
- Monitor KPIs, labor costs, and throughput, identifying and delivering opportunities for improvement
- Work with your team and wider functions to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure the area remains audit-ready and consistently meets food safety, quality, hygiene, and H&S standards
- Champion positive food safety and quality culture, ensuring all required standards and paperwork are maintained
- Role model safe behaviors and ensure colleagues follow company H&S procedures

The Ideal Candidate
- Previous leadership experience within a production or FMCG environment
- Level 3 Food Hygiene and HACCP Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Experience working to BRC standards and maintaining audit readiness
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Confident decision maker with the ability to challenge and influence others
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Strong focus on developing and supporting others
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience within a chilled food manufacturing environment would be advantageous
