Your new role
As a Chemical Process Operator, you will play a vital role in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients through a multi-stage chemical production process. Working within a GMP-regulated environment, you will operate and monitor plant equipment, carry out process sampling, complete production documentation and ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating chemical manufacturing processes and associated plant equipment.
- Carrying out in-process sampling and basic laboratory checks.
- Completing GMP documentation and production records accurately.
- Monitoring plant performance and identifying process issues.
- Handling raw materials, intermediates and hazardous chemicals safely.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
- Assisting with process validation, calibration and routine maintenance activities.
- Working in accordance with GMP, FDA, environmental and health & safety requirements.
- Supporting contractor activities and permit-to-work systems where required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Experience within chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, process operations, petrochemical, or other regulated production environments.
- Experience operating process plant equipment or manufacturing systems.
- Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Ability to follow SOPs, manufacturing instructions and quality procedures.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Experience working within GMP, cGMP or similarly regulated environments would be advantageous.
- Engineering or technical aptitude would be beneficial.
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to undertake extensive training.
